When you are ready to confirm your Holland Private Tour:
We booked a Private Full-Day Customizable Tour by Holland Private Tours and are we very happy we did so. My wife’s parents were born outside of Amsterdam and we did not have very much information we could share with Stefka but did she ever deliver. Her research allowed us to visit places her family lived and worked and we ended the day with a family visit with her aunts. We had Niels as our host and he went far beyond the typical call of duty and we were so happy with his demeanor, professionalism and flexibility. All I can say is that you can’t go wrong with booking Stefka and her staff if you are looking for a customizable tour. Many thanks Stefka & Niels.
Look no further if you want a private tour in Amsterdam!! The management of Stefka Waaijer is beyond comparison. She responded immediately before we left our home inquiring what we wanted to do/see. After providing some primitive family root information, Stefka did additional unsolicited research on her own and provided more detail about our Dutch relatives than we ever knew. She personally arranged for a private meeting at my great grandparent’s church from the late 1800’s with the church’s lead volunteer (Henk). Also, she was able to locate the local windmill shown on many family memoirs that I emailed prior to the trip. We remain in awe that this company took the time to show true and genuine interest in our humble family who departed Holland 125 years ago. The tour was a memory that will be remembered forever.
Stefka planned a customised itinerary, visiting places associated with our family. Including: flower auction, dolmens, villages, a seal rescue facility, & more. Places we never would have seen without her. This was our most memorable holiday, well organized, informative and fun.
In 5-days we saw parts of Holland that were off the beaten path. Ship museums, the working of the flower auction, Giethoorn (the Venice of the North), a natural park, the Ammer-something castle, a wooden clog maker, and more! Chantal was great – very helpful and adjusting.
Our guide, Stefka Waaijer, was fabulous and we had the most wonderful day visiting my family's hometown of Oploo. Our guide contacted the local historian in advance and arranged that we spent the day with him. We learned things about our family we never knew. I couldn't wait to get home to share them with the rest of my family!
Sanne was excellent. We changed our itinerary the night before our trip and she was flexible and resourceful enough to fill our day with the experience of the North country that we wanted. Great lunch and conversation at local cafe with final view of Botannical Gardens and the amazing tulips. Susan and I would recommend her for anyone wanting a personalized trip with a very kind young lady.
We did a custom tour to Wageningen where our family immigrated from in 1660! Joyce our friendly tour guide picked us up at our hotel and drive us to Wageningen. There we meet a delightful lady that was a member of the local historical group. She toured us around the "Old Town"! Best trip ever!
