How can I book a tour?
It’s Easy! You can book on our website. Go to the tour of your choice and follow these steps:
- Click on the green button ‘Check Availability & Book’
- Add the number of participants.
- Click on the date you wish to take the tour.
- Click the starting time of your choice and your vehicle option.
- Review the Summary and click on ‘Checkout’
- Tell us your pick-up location and Select the add-on’s of your choice > Continue
- Fill in your Contact Details > Continue.
- Pay Full Amount or Partial Amount by credit card.
Your Booking request is confirmed, once we have received your payment.
Where do your tours start & end?
We pick-up and drop-off all travelers from their preffered location in the regions of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague.
This includes, hotels, cruise ships and airports.
A transfer-tour can also be offered. For example: pick-up in Paris/Brussels, tour with stops, ending in Rotterdam/Amsterdam. Contact us for a quote.
Can I make changes to the itinerary?
Yes, as our tours are private, we are flexible. Contact us before booking with your request and we’ll offer you a personalized itinerary based on your wishes.
Some special tours we have offered:
- visited (war) cemeteries to find deceased friends/family.
- Dutch roots-tours.
- arranged tours for less-mobile and disabled people.
- scattered ashes.
- geocaching tour.
- given tours with drop-off or pick-up in Belgium or Paris.
- arranged tours around special events like: Floriade.
- researched with a student for her thesis.
- … and much more.
Before start, or during the tour it is also possible to make changes. If these changes entail extra time/distance/cost, guide needs to approve and extra fees apply.
Can children join a private tour?
Yes, we love it when children join our Private Tours.
Our tours are suitable for children between the age of 0-99 years old ;)
We engage the children with workshops (cheese making / painting Delft Blue / etc.), activities (climbing a windmill / searches / feeding the cows / etc.) and make sure they have time to play (at the beach / a play ground / Dutch toys / etc.).
Childrens seats are availble for free when requested at least 14 days before start of the tour.
There is no discount for children as you pay for the vehicle and the time of the guide/driver and not a price per person.
Can I take my wheelchair on tour?
Yes, a foldable wheelchair / mobility scooter will fit in the trunk of a standard car.
You do need to be able te get in and out of the car (with help from your travel companion).
How much luggage can I bring on tour?
All our cars have place for luggage:
- Standard car: 4 large check-in suitcases and 4 carry-ons.
- Minivan: 8 large check-in suitcases and 8 carry-ons.
- Coach: let us know hom much luggage you have.
I have a complaint
Sorry to hear you have a complaint. Please address your complaint immediately to your tour guide. He/she can often solve your complaint.
When your complaint cannot be solved by the tour guide, don’t hesitate to contact us by email firstname.lastname@example.org
We’ll address it in a proffesional way as we always want everyone to have a fantastic experiences.
I’m traveling alone, can I join a tour?
When you travel alone you may also book a private tour. Your private guide will become your newest best friend :)
It is not possible to join a private tour booked by other people.
Can I share a tour with other travelers?
How are your private tours priced?
Our Private Tours are priced based on the type of vehicle and the duration of the tour. You pay a flat rate per tour, not per person.
An extra price per person can be added to include skip the line tickets or reserve activities. This is optional.
How can I pay?
Online bookings can be paid securely by credit card. Credit and Debit Cards from Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.
With a (20% deposit) payment you immediately confirm our services on the booked tour date. Full payment needs to be received 14 days prior to the tour.
Can I pay in US dollars?
We are a Dutch Tour Operater in Europe and we charge you in our local currency: Euro.
The price in US Dollars (and other currencies) is calculated based on the Daily Exchange Rate.
Click ”Check Availability & Book” on the page of your preffered tour. A pop-up page will open. At the top, on the right, you can change the currency.
What is your cancellation policy?
To all our offers and bookings apply these Terms & Conditions, which included the Cancellation Policy.
When will I receive my Refund?
Refunds are paid to your credit card, which you used to make the payment with. The processing time for refunds may take up to 30 days. If you have not received your refund after a 30 days, please reach out to us by email: email@example.com
Do you guarantee an on-time return to our cruise-ship?
Yes we do. No worries. We guarantee an on-time return to your cruise ship port.
This guarantee works two ways:
1. If you (through no fault or action of your own) are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will arrange the necessary transport to the next port-of-call.
2. If your ship misses a port of call or is delayed beyond the start time of your covered Worry-free Shore Excursion, you will be due a full refund.
This guarantee applies, only when:
# through no fault or action of your own, you are not returned to the ship in time to board.
# you have provided Holland Private Tour and your private guide, correct arrival and departure ship information and ensure there is enough time (minimum 2 hours) between the experience end time and the ship departure time.
What is the weather like in the Netherlands?
This is by far the most difficult questions to answer! The weather is very unpredictable and we truly can have Four Seasons in one day.
There are many articles online like this one, which will give you some idea about the weather.
However do not look much at average temperature or rainfall! We have had extreem dry Spring’s and Summer’s, with daily temperatures between 25-40C / 77-104F. But some years, seasons can be very wet and cold like: 12-22C / 53.6-71.6F.
Best thing to do is pack and wear a lot of layers. Expect dry & warm sun and cold & wet rain days.
Who will be our private guide?
Approximately four weeks before the start of the tour, we’ll email you the name and cellphone number of the tour guide.
This way you are able to reach your guide, if necessary, on the day of your tour.
Your private guide will have your name and cellphone number as well.
Do we tip our guide?
All our guides get a fair compensation for their time. When they receive gratuity, it is seen as a ‘Thank you’ for a great service offered.
We get guests from all over the world. In some cultures it is very common to pay gratuity, in other cultures it is not.
We leave the decision to give gratuity or not with our guests.
Is our guide a licensed tour guides?
Some are, some are not. However all our tour guides are proffesionals. They have worked for many years as tour guide, with Dutch and International tourists.

Is the tour guide also our driver?
Yes, your tour guide is also your driver. Our guides are licensed to drive up to eight people. Either in a standard car or minivan.
When you have booked a coach, then you’ll have a driver and a tour guide for your party.
